These terms cover your use of Simple Schematics, which is run by Agnelo Fernandes, an individual trading from 5/38C Maddo Vaddo, Calangute, Goa, India. Using the app means you accept them.
Accounts are created by your administrator or on sign-up, and are for one person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done under your account. Tell us at fagnelo05@gmail.com if you think someone else has got into it.
Use it for its purpose: planning and documenting audio-visual systems. Do not try to break into other people's accounts or data, do not attempt to get around licensing, and do not resell access to the app to people without their own licence.
Drawings, project files, equipment libraries and exports you make are yours. We claim no ownership of them and no right to use them. The software itself, including its built-in equipment library, remains ours and is licensed to you for the term of your subscription, not sold.
Projects are saved in your browser on the device you drew them on, and to your own Google Drive if you connect it. That means a cleared browser, a lost laptop or a browser profile wiped by someone else can take drawings with it. Keep your own backups of anything that matters — turn on Google Drive autosave, or export regularly. We cannot recover a drawing that only ever existed in a browser you no longer have.
Connecting Drive is optional. The app asks only for the
drive.file permission, which reaches only the files it creates
itself, and version files are written from your browser straight to your Drive.
Your use of Google Drive is also governed by Google's own terms. You can
disconnect at any time, and files already written stay in your Drive.
We aim to keep the service up but do not promise uninterrupted access. It may be unavailable for maintenance, for a fault, or because something it depends on — a hosting provider, Google — is unavailable.
Simple Schematics is a planning and documentation aid. Its calculations — throw distances, lens choices, power circuits, panel counts, brightness figures, pixel maths — are estimates from the figures entered into it, and they depend on those figures being right.
A competent person must check every design before it is built, hung, powered or rigged. Nothing the app produces replaces manufacturer data, structural engineering, an electrical inspection, or the judgement of a qualified engineer on site.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, for lost work, or for anything arising out of a design built from the app's output without being checked. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Where the app is paid for by subscription, fees are as shown when you subscribe. Cancel at any time; access runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Fees already paid are not refunded pro rata unless the law requires it.
You may stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is not paid for. Export anything you want to keep before you go — see the Export dialog in the app.
These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did. Carrying on using the app after a change means accepting it.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
