Simple Schematics is a drawing tool for audio-visual work: signal flow schematics, rack layouts, LED screen builds and projection studies. This page says what it stores, where that is kept, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be checked against the software rather than to sound reassuring.
The short version. Your drawings are yours. They are saved in your own browser, and — only if you switch it on — to your own Google Drive. We do not sell anything to anybody, there is no advertising, and there are no third-party analytics or tracking scripts in the app.
Simple Schematics is run by Agnelo Fernandes, an individual trading from 5/38C Maddo Vaddo, Calangute, Goa, India. For any question about this policy, or about data held about you, write to fagnelo05@gmail.com.
To let you sign in and to run licensing, the server holds, for each account:
scrypt hash with a per-account
salt — the password itself is never written down and cannot be read back
by anyone, including us;Where the operator has configured a Supabase database, those records live there; otherwise they are files on the server's own disk. Nothing else about you is collected, and no profile is built from how you use the app.
Projects are kept in your browser's local storage on the device you drew them on. They are not uploaded to our server as a matter of course, and the server rejects attempts to write project files into user storage. Two things can move a drawing off your device, and both are things you choose:
Images and video you place in a drawing stay on your device. They are not carried to other machines; on another computer you are asked to relink them.
Set out plainly, so there is nothing to infer:
| What is collected | Why | Where it is kept |
|---|---|---|
| Username and display name | To identify you when you sign in and to label your work | Our server |
Password, as a scrypt hash |
To check your sign-in. The password itself is never stored | Our server |
| Role, company or group, licence end date | To decide what you can open and whether your licence is current | Our server |
| Your drawings and equipment libraries | They are the work the app exists to make | Your browser, and your Google Drive if you connect it |
| A Google Drive refresh token, encrypted | Only so you need not sign in to Google on every visit | Our server, encrypted at rest |
| A session cookie | To keep you signed in between pages | Your browser |
What is not collected. No location, no contacts, no browsing history, no device fingerprint, no advertising identifiers, and no analytics of any kind. The app contains no third-party tracking scripts.
Who it is shared with. Nobody. Your information is not sold, rented or traded, and it is not passed to advertisers, data brokers or any other third party. It is not used to train machine-learning models. The only companies that touch it at all are the ones needed to run the service — the hosting provider that runs the server, the database provider where account records are kept, and the payment provider where a subscription is paid for — and each of those handles it only to provide that service to us. We disclose information otherwise only where the law requires it.
Connecting Google Drive is optional and off until you connect it. When you do:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. That scope gives
access only to files this app itself creates. It cannot read, list
or alter anything else in your Drive — not the rest of your documents,
not files other applications made. You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Google Drive → Disconnect. That revokes the token with Google and deletes it from the server. You can also revoke access yourself from your Google account permissions page. Files the app has already written stay in your Drive, where they belong to you; delete them there if you want them gone.
Limited Use. Simple Schematics' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular: data obtained through the Google Drive API is used only to provide the version-saving feature you switched on; it is not transferred to anyone except as needed to provide that feature, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you; it is not used for advertising of any kind; it is not sold; and no human reads it except where you have given explicit permission, where it is needed for security, to comply with the law, or where the data has been aggregated and made anonymous.
One cookie holds your sign-in session. It is marked HttpOnly and
SameSite, and it is set as Secure wherever the app is
served over HTTPS. Browser local storage holds your drawings and your own
preferences — theme, remembered dialog choices, output placement. There are no
advertising or tracking cookies, and nothing is shared with any third party for
marketing.
Where subscriptions are taken, card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach our server. We hold only the identifiers needed to tell whether a licence is current.
Account records are kept while the account exists. Delete the account and they go, along with any stored Drive token. Drawings are kept until you delete them — in your browser, and in your Drive if you used it.
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or ask for a copy in a portable form. Write to fagnelo05@gmail.com. Most of it you can do yourself: drawings export from the app in open formats, and the Drive connection disconnects in one click.
This is a professional tool and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Where a change materially affects what happens to your data, the app will say so.
